Unit 8

I chose the exercise loving-kindness. I chose this specific one because I feel it has been the most beneficial to me. I also feel that by learning how to love yourself to extending your love outwards onto to everyone and everything is very important. I feel if more people would learn this they could better accept others for who they are.

I found that by concentration on breathing in the positivity for yourself and breathing it out onto everyone else really helped me center my mind. I found that by doing this in the evening quietly helped me train my mind to focus on more positive thoughts and not the negative ones that can take over my train of thought sometimes. I found that what helped to further develop this was practicing some guided qigong. I like to use qigong frequently because it is something that I can easily do and I find does not distract my mind from focusing on the exercise.

  1. Hello Mrs. Golik, I too chose loving kindness as one of my two top exercies/practices. I think that loving kindness can be practiced 24/7, towards yourself on up and outward. You will always catch more flies with honey than with viniger. A compliment is a great way to start a converstation, and a smile will never hurt a thing. I love the ideal of loving kindness. Thank you so much for sharing.
